Robin Charles Thicke is an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. Thicke has worked with popular artists, such as Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj, K.Michelle, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, and Mary J. Blige. Thicke has also been acknowledged for his work on popular albums such as Usher's Confessions and Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III. He rose to worldwide fame in 2013 with his hit single "Blurred Lines". He is the son of actors Alan Thicke and Gloria Loring and known for his marriage to actress Paula Patton. In 2013 and 2014, their separation and divorce was covered extensively by the tabloid press including Thicke's efforts to reconcile with Patton.
Blurred Lines is the sixth studio album by American recording artist Robin Thicke. It was first released in Germany on July 12, 2013, and then in the United States on July 30, 2013, by Star Trak Entertainment and Interscope Records. The album features guest appearances from T.I., Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz. will.i.am also features as a guest writer on the track "Give It 2 U" and a producer on the tracks "Feel Good" and "Go Stupid 4 U". The album debuted at #1 on both the UK & Scottish Albums Charts.
The album was nominated at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album.
