Based on the short story of the same name by Elmore Leonard, in 2012 it was chosen to be kept in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress of the United States of America
Dan, a farmer in dire straits due to drought, helps capture the bandit Ben Wade and accepts the offer of $ 200 to escort him to Yuma prison, knowing full well that he will have to face Wade's entire gang waiting for the right opportunity to free him. The suspense grows as we wait for the 3 and 10 train for Yuma and the psychological conflict between the two protagonists intensifies.
In 2007 a remake was made with the same title, directed by director James Mangold.
