Grit your teeth and go! (Bite the Bullet) is an adventure film, set in the West, from 1975.
It is Richard Brooks' third and final western film, after The Last Hunt (1956) and The Professionals (1966).
In the early twentieth century, The Western Press newspaper organized a 700-mile endurance race in the Far West. At the start, about ten participants, including two friends Sam Clayton and Luke Matthews, former Rough Riders veterans of the Spanish-American war, the former prostitute Miss Jones, an ambitious and arrogant young man, an old and battered cowboy, a gentleman British sports lover and a Mexican afflicted with toothache.
The film was shot in Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado.
