All downloaded small tiles are saved on the disk and then combined in one big map image for offline use. You can save maps and tiles in several image formats. You can select multiple download servers and zoom levels at the same time. As far as street maps software goes, ultimate Maps Downloader is the most comprehensive option for your mapping needs.     Download and save small tile images from various servers and combine them in one large map
    Supported Map Servers and map types:
    OpenStreetMap
    OpenCycleMap
    OpenCycleMap (Transport)
    OpenCycleMap (Landscape)

    Easy select area to download from on screen map
    Select multiple Zoom levels ranged from 1 to 20. You easely can get detailed map of your home town.
    Supported image formats are jpeg, png, gif, bmp and tiff.
    Find locations by coordinates or name/address using geo-coding services or find nearest venues and tips from Foursquare.
    Add markers to selected locations (with location information). More than 600 POI icons are included in the package.
    Calculate routes on your map.
    Save map projects for future use or save map images as you see them on the screen.
    Create ESRI World File (jgw, tfw...) for all downloaded tiles and images for use in professional mapping software like Global Mapper and ER Mapper
    Combine downloaded tiles in larger tiles (2x2, 3x3,...)
    Create text file with each coordinates of every downloaded tile image
    Import and export GPX files
    Measuring tool
    Copy to clipboard, print or export to PDF the map view
