Reggae In A Babylon is the acclaimed documentary by Wolfgang Buld that captured the birth of the British Reggae. This DVD includes several sensational songs. In the late 1970's the young, gifted and black generation of Thatcher's Britain fused the Revolutionary zeal of Punk with their Rastafarian roots to create a new sound system that defined their struggle. Reggae was the savior in their modern 'Babylon' and this acclaimed film charts the birth of urban British Reggae.
Although reggae originated in Jamaica, it has always had a large British following, and this video traces the beginnings of England's reggae movement Reggae in Babylon review. Chock full of interviews and live performances, "Reggae in Babylon" includes footage of Jimmy Lindsay ("It's Not Our Wish That We Should Fight", "Easy";); Matumbi ("Rock";); 15, 16, 17 ("Black Skin Boy";); Alton Ellis ("Diverse Doctrine";); and Steel Pulse ("KuKluxKlan", Prodigal Son";).

The film documents the reggae movement in the U.K. along with the idea of Rastifari. Tracks include Steel Pulse's "Kukluxklan" and "Prodigal Son," Jimmy Lindsay's "It's Not Our Wish That We Should Fight," and "Easy," 15,16,17's "Black Skin Boy," "Matumbi's Rock" and Alton Ellis' "Diverse Doctrine."
