Synopsis
Fans of Discovery's #1-rated show "Gold Rush" have watched miner Todd Hoffman bet it all with the hope to strike it rich in gold. Now Todd has been given an opportunity too good to pass up so he's heading back to Alaska. After ending a checkered mining season in Colorado in 2018, Todd is ready to get back in the game. He's emptying his life savings with the hope to turn around a distressed mine located nearly 100 miles north of Nome, Alaska. An old mining partner has invested in the nearly 2,500 acres of rugged land. However, after years of greenhorn crews, busted equipment and little to no results, they're about to go belly up. Todd's taking a big gamble that he can turn around the operation and produce enough gold to get the mine out of the red. If he pulls it off, Todd will secure the mining rights for the next decade and could build a family legacy. But can he do it in just six weeks before the winter season sets in?
Season 1 - Episode 1 - The Toddfather Returns
Todd's taking on this huge risk and potentially bigger reward with the team he trusts most. Todd's father Jack and his son Hunter will be making the long trek to Alaska along with a veteran crew of gold miners including Jim Thurber, foreman Andy Spinks and bush mechanic Randy Hubler.
Season 1 - Episode 2 - Todd's Hot Mess
Todd must deliver 300 ounces of gold in just seven weeks. To make it happen, his first step is getting Hot Mess, a massive broken-down wash plant, up and running. Later, Todd goes rogue and opens a new cut behind the mine owner's back.
Season 1 - Episode 3 - Mining Dirty
Desperate to run more paydirt, Todd fires up Big Trommel but the plant is so worn-out, Todd's nicknamed it Hot Mess. The team chases fix after fix to keep the plant running and chase their million-dollar goal.
Season 1 - Episode 4 - Jack Attack
It's Jack Hoffman's birthday but if they want to reach their season goal there's no time for cake. Todd and his crew must solve why the Big Trommel, aka Hot Mess, is leaking out more than half the gold in the pay dirt.
Season 1 - Episode 5 - Fortune in the Wash
To hit his million-dollar goal, Todd pushes his team to get a third wash plant delivering gold.
Season 1 - Episode 6 - Ice Cold Gold
The crew is surprised by plummeting temperatures and a frozen wash plant.
Season 1 - Episode 7 - Hunting a Big Score
Hunter takes on the arctic tundra when a geologist's lead points to crazy gold on the edge of the Hoffman claim. Back at camp, Andy works to turn paydirt from an ancient river channel into a big payoff.
Season 1 - Episode 8 - The Mother Lode
The Hoffmans rush to get a vein of gold that could save their season.
Season 1 - Episode 9 - Bless This Hot Mess
With their million-dollar goal in sight, the Hoffmans' best working wash plant breaks down and can't be repaired. Todd's last shot is to get the Hot Mess up and running during an arctic freeze.
Season 1 - Episode 10 - No Gold, No Glory
Todd works the night shift hoping to hit his million-dollar goal.
