Il Rito delle Streghe, film diretto da Zoe Lister-Jones, racconta la storia di Lily (Cailee Spaeny), un adolescente molto solitaria e con nessun amico, che si vede costretta a cambiare a liceo durante l'anno. Nella nuovo istituto la ragazza viene presa di mira dal bullo della scuola, che la mette in ridicolo davanti a tutti.
Un giorno mentre sta piangendo in bagno, a causa di un altro stupido scherzo di cui è stata vittima, Lily viene avvicinata e consolata da altre tre studentesse, Tabby (Lovie Simone), Frankie (Gideon Adlon) e Lourdes (Zoey Luna), anche loro in precedenza vittime dei bulli. Le ragazze la invitano a passare sempre più tempo insieme dopo la scuola, facendola partecipare a una sorta di rito di iniziazione per farla entrare nel proprio gruppo.
Le quattro giovani studentesse formano, infatti, una congrega di streghe, che grazie alle loro capacità, riescono a ottenere tutto ciò che vogliono. Ma quando superano i primi limiti, dovranno fare i conti con il loro grande potere, che se usato eccessivamente può rivelarsi fatale...
