Il centro della storia del film Limpia è Estela, interpretata da María Paz Grandjean, collaboratrice domestica in una famiglia borghese. È lei a prendersi cura, giorno e notte, della piccola Julia, sei anni, figlia di un medico perennemente assente. Il rapporto tra Estela e Julia inizia come un vincolo affettivo professionale, ma ben presto si trasforma in qualcosa di più profondo, più totalizzante, più disturbante. Un microcosmo si chiude attorno a loro: la casa diventa rifugio e prigione, il gioco un rituale, l’affetto una dipendenza.
