Heading to Lightning Ridge (NSW), Opalton (QLD), and opal mecca, Coober Pedy (SA), the series follows crews of fearless opal miners on their mission to unearth a fortune in some of Australia's harshest and remote landscapes.

Opal fever has struck! In South Australia, rookie miners Daniel Becker and Justin Lang leave their lives behind, risking all to chase an opal fortune.

Justin and Daniel tread a dangerous path deep underground in an abandoned mine. Meanwhile, Kelly and Al search for the rare, valuable black opal.
Season 01 - Episode 3
Mick's mining operation grinds to a halt when the conveyor belt rips on a piece of machinery. In need of cash, he heads out of town on another job.
Season 01 - Episode 4
After the birth of Daniel's child, the Rookies return to Coober Pedy. Kelly and Al battle a deadly cactus in their hunt for the most valuable opal.
