The Strays, il film diretto da Nathaniel Martello-White, racconta la vita apparentemente perfetta di Neve (Ashley Madekwe), una giovane donna con un buon lavoro in una scuola privata, che vive in un quartiere per benestanti insieme alla sua bella famiglia.
La sua vita sociale è appagante e tutto fila liscio fino al giorno in cui nota la presenza di due misteriose figure.
Un uomo e una donna compaiono e scompaiono in momenti imprevisti, inizialmente pensa di poter gestire la situazione ma quando comincia ad avere dubbi sulla reale esistenza di queste persone, perde il controllo. Pensa di essere impazzita, chiede aiuto alla sua famiglia ma questo non fa altro che peggiorare la situazione.
La vita perfetta che si era creata Neve sta andando in frantumi pezzo per pezzo facendo riaffiorare le bugie che la tenevano in piedi.
